TBD: Author's note: This is more a note to self than an actual article and will be fleshed out and completed later.

The MCC-LR2 (Manual Capacitor Charge Laser Rifle Mk. II), or as it's almost universally known, the crank rifle or crank gun, has been the standard issue weapon for the Legion for nearly a century. As a direct result, it is a fairly ubiquitous weapon among those who would have a long range laser rifle as they are easy to maintain, modify, and acquire.

It got its iconic name from the handle mounted on the left side of the weapon that one must crank in a circular manner to load a power cartridge into the capacitor's central compression chamber, thus loading and priming the weapon. Up to eight cartridges may be loaded at once, resulting in a rapid fire burst that, while powerful, does impact accuracy quite a bit.
